Rohit Shetty promises a ‘bigger and better’ Golmaal 5 in the next two years, deets inside

Rohit Shetty is currently gearing up for the release of Indian Police Force. The series stars Sidharth Malhotra, Shilpa Shetty and Vivek Oberoi among others. Before Rohit Shetty’s name became familiar with the cop verse, he also tickled our funny bones with comedy movie like Golmaal. Well, the fans of Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal are up for a delight as the filmmaker has confirmed the next installment.

Rohit Shetty confirms Golmaal 5

Recently, Rohit Shetty got into a conversation with Pinkvilla where he spilled deets about Golmaal 5. Rohit said, “Golmaal 5 will happen for sure. Looking at the response, I will have to make it a little soon. I think you will get Golmaal 5 in the next 2 years.” He also added that this installment will be grander, considering the recent change in the cinema.

The director added, “I think, cinema in today’s time has to be grand and bigger than the likes of All The Best and Golmaal, which I made back in the day. By big, I don’t mean action. I can’t add action in Golmaal, but I can amp up the scale in the genre. There are so many fans of Golmaal, and I am making this brand for the fans. The next Golmaal film has to be bigger, and better though it’s a comedy franchise.”

Furthermore, he also expressed desire to make a movie that is not a part of his copverse. Speaking of which, Rohit said, “Even I feel the need to make a film like Chennai Express. If I crack a story which is good and grand, I will make a fresh film.”

On the workfront, Rohit Shetty’s Indian Police Force is all set to begin streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 19th January, 2024.
