On Saturday, Ranveer Singh and Rohit Shetty graced an event in the city as they were promoting a brand. Their camaraderie was unmissable and it left fans excited for their next film Cirkus. At the event, Shetty was asked by a reporter about Aryan Khan getting a clean chit from the Narcotics Control Bureau in the drugs case. The Sooryavanshi director replied, “Ye koi time hain eisab baat karne ka? De diya na, ho gaya abhi khatam”. When asked about the former Mumbai zonal director of NCB wrongly framed him and hasn’t been sacked yet, he added, “Procedures hain na. Court mai jab baat chali jati hain toh uske bare main public main baat nahi kiya jata. Woh rule hain.”
Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s son Aryan was given the clean chit on May 27 by the NCB. In a statement, it was written that based on the input, in October last year NCB intercepted Vikrant, Ishmeet, Arbaaz, Aryan and Gomit at the International Port Terminal, Mumbai Port Trust, and Nupur, Mohak and Munmun on the Cordelia Cruise. It added, “All the accused persons were found in possession of narcotics except Aryan and Mohak.”
As Aryan got a clean chit, his lawyer Satish Maneshinde released a statement that read: “The Arrest and Detention of Aryan Khan for 26 days was unjustified more particularly when he was not found in possession of any drugs, there was no evidence of any kind, there was no material of any nature of the violation of any law much less the NDPS Act. We are happy that the Special Investigation Team under Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh investigated the case in an objective manner and decided not to file a complaint against Aryan Khan for Lack of Sufficient Evidence. God is Great. Satya Meva Jayate. Satish Maneshinde Adv.”
