Sara Ali Khan had two releases in the last month of December 2018. First, it was Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘Kedarnath’ which also starred Sushant Singh Rajput. Now, Rohit Shetty has revealed how Sara got the role for ‘Simmba’.

Recently, Ranveer Singh, Rohit Shetty and Sara Ali Khan appeared on the premiere episode of Kapil Sharma’s comedy show, ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. Both Rohit and Ranveer revealed interesting stories about Sara. The ‘Singham’ director shared how the starlet impressed him by begging for a role in his film.

“She (Sara) came and begged me for a role in ‘Simmba’. Hearing this, I started crying. Imagine Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter begging me for a role. Saif never once asked me to take Sara for ‘Simmba’,” Rohit said.

Sara Ali Khan has now truly proved her acting mettle. She has also busted the myth of nepotism and proved that at the end of the day, only talent matters and nothing else. Sara comes across as a hardworking, diligent and honest individual.

‘Simmba’, despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, has done stupendous business at the box office.
