‘Sadak 2’ composer Suniljeet hits back at plagiarism allegations; says, “Ishq Kamaal is an original and not a copy”

While the trailer of the Sanjay Dutt and Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Sadak 2’ has been a social media sensation ever since it’s release, it has also been in the news for being one of the highest disliked videos of all times. Adding salt to the injury, there were plagiarism allegations on the song ‘Ishq Kamaal’ this morning by Pakistani musician JO-G. The musician in a video slammed the makers of ‘Sadak 2’ saying that the song ‘Ishq Kamaal’, from the film, is a copied version.

Music composer Suniljeet denies the same in his statement sent over by his PR team. He says, “‘Ishq Kamaal’ is my original composition and doesn’t share a resemblance to any other song. Everybody involved in making this song including singer Javed Ali has added his magic to the music. This is my debut as a music director and all I hope for is that people like the song when it comes out. Shalu Vaish and I have worked with all our heart to live up to the expectation of Sadak 2 music.”

Let’s wait and watch whether JO-G reverts to Suniljeet further or not. ‘Sadak 2’ is slated to release on August 28 on Disney+ Hotstar.
