Saif Ali Khan was last seen in the web series ‘Sacred Games’. The actor is now gearing up for his next film ‘Jawaani Janeman’ in which he will be seen playing the father of Pooja Bedi’s daughter Alaia F. This Nitin Kakkar directorial will mark Bollywood debut of Alaia. Saif and Alaia recently kick-started the shoot of this romantic-comedy drama.
Yesterday, this on-screen father-daughter duo were seen cheering for the Indian cricket team at the ICC World Cup. Sharing pictures of their bonding during the India-Pakistan match, Alaia took to her Instagram account and wrote, “India V Pakistan father’s day celebrations with my on-screen father from #JawaaniJaaneman”

And we must say they make for a great father-daughter duo.
Even Pooja Bedi expressed her happiness as her daughter’s debut film went on floors. Taking to the micro-blogging site Twitter, Pooja extended her best wishes to Alaia and wrote, “My daughter Alaia with Saif Ali Khan at the world cup match in London. Perfect start to their shoot together for her Debut film #Jawaani Jaaneman. He plays her dad.. and this was shot on fathers day. Best of luck for beautiful new beginnings.”
So probably, a scene of Saif and Alaia rooting for team India will be included in the film as well. Both of them looked extremely happy while posing for the pictures.
Earlier, talking about her preparation for the film, Alaia told Mid-Day, “I’m one of those who love to over-prepare, and am hence leaving for London a week in advance. I want to get into the skin of my character and study the script better. I’m working with established artistes who I admire, so I’m understandably nervous. To ease those nerves, Nitin sir thought it would be apt for me to observe things on set before I have to go in front of the camera.”
‘Jawaani Janeman’ will also mark the reunion of Tabu and Saif after several years. Bankrolled by Jackky Bhagnani’s Pooja Entertainment in association with Saif’s Black Knight Films and Jay Shewakramani’s Northern Lights Films, the comedy-drama is scheduled to hit the silver screens on November 29 this year.
