Post Sushant Singh Rajput‘s death, the debate surrounding nepotism is gaining momentum with every passing day. Sushant’s ‘Dil Bechara’ costar Saif Ali Khan grabbed headlines after he called himself a ‘victim of nepotism. Saif is the son of yesteryear actress Sharmila Tagore and renowned cricketer Tiger Pataudi. So obviously, netizens found his claims to be bizarre.

Twitterati wasted no time in trolling the ‘Hum Tum’ actor for his comment.

Speaking to The New Indian Express, Saif had said that he too is a victim of nepotism. “There is inequality in India that needs to be explored. Nepotism, favouritism and camps are different subjects. Even I have been a victim of nepotism, but nobody speaks of that,” he told the daily.

Apparently he was referring to the infamous episode of ‘Koffee With Karan’ where Kangana Ranaut had called its host Karan Johar a ‘flagbearer of nepotism’. Netizens wasted no time in trolling Saif for his comment and they even came up with some of the most hilarious memes.

Some users even pointed out how Saif won the National Award for ‘Hum Tum’ while Shah Rukh Khan’s performance in ‘Swades’ was overlooked. Netizens even speculated how his mother Sharmila Tagore’s selection as chief of the Censor Board helped him in his win.
