In a recent interview with the Times, Saif shared how his mother, Sharmila Tagore, supported him through the ordeal. He recounted discovering an intruder in his younger son Jeh’s room and fighting him alone, driven by his parental instincts. Sharmila, understanding his actions as a mother herself, stood by him. “I guess it’s every parent’s instinct,” Saif said.

Their bond strengthened amidst the trauma. Saif described a touching moment when his mother held his hand and sang him a lullaby, a gesture he hadn’t experienced since childhood. This emotional moment highlighted their deep connection.

After a five-day hospital stay, Saif emerged with 30 wounds, including a deep stab injury causing spinal leakage. Despite the trauma, he made his first public appearance weeks later at a Netflix event to announce his upcoming thriller, The Jewel Thief, co-starring Jaideep Ahlawat. A teaser for The Jewel Thief has been released, showcasing Saif Ali Khan preparing for a thrilling journey. Jaideep Ahlawat’s character explains the necessity of stealing the ‘Red Sun’, suggesting a heist plot.
