Singer-composer Wajid Khan, of Sajid-Wajid fame, passed away at a hospital in Mumbai in June. His brother Sajid told PTI, “He died of cardiac arrest.” He also confirmed that Wajid had tested positive for the coronavirus.
David Dhawan and Wajid worked together in five films – ‘Partner’, ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’, ‘Chashme Baddoor’, ‘Judwaa 2’ and ‘Main Tera Hero’. In a recent interaction with us, Sajid said how Wajid used to remember David Dhawan. He said, “I want to say that when we were not able to meet people, Wajid and I used to sit and he used to miss David Sir (Dhawan) a lot. He used to care about him and loved him a lot.”
He added, “Also, he used to talk about Salman (Khan) bhai and Sajid Nadiadwala. I don’t know what was in his mind that he used to fondly remember everyone and ask me if I am in touch with anyone. He also asked me to give everyone his regards telling me that he will be fine. I used to wonder how he talked like this even after battling with life. He was passionate and used to care about his family a lot.”

Wajid was like a child for me. My relationship with him was indescribable. He would come home, jam with us, and have dinner with the family.”
