Sajid Nadiadwala CONFIRMS Salman Khan starrer Kick 2, shares an exciting update on the movie

Salman Khan is one of the stars who take forward his movies with sequels and turn them into our favourite franchise. Just like Dabbangg and Tiger have more parts in the movie, Kick is all set to have its part 2. The movie marks Sajid Nadiadwala’s directorial debut. Recently, Sajid Nadiadwala shared an update on the making of Salman Khan starrer Kick 2. Now, we can only hope that Kick 2 lives up to the expectations.

Sajid Nadiadwala promises Kick 2 to go on floors soon

Talking to Pinkvilla, Sajid Nadiadwala disclosed that Kick 2 will go on floors soon. He said, “I launched myself as a director with Kick and that’s my favourite IP. The moment I speak about Kick, I get messages from the industry and even the digital world is flooded with questions on when Kick 2 will go on floors. Now, I promise that there will be an extension to Kick. The subject is there on paper, it’s completely written but needs time. We need a bigger scale and a better time for its release. We need to have cinema consumption back in fashion for us to make Kick. Once we are back to normal, I will be ready to take Kick 2 on floors.”

Sajid Nadiadwala further added, “First, it was on my mind but now, it’s on paper. Salman Khan has also heard it.” Further, the producer shed light on the importance of catering to the viewer’s needs in the current era. He emphasized the significance of respecting the audience’s time and providing them with a compelling reason to return to the theatres. According to him, this can only be achieved by crafting an exceptional film. While expressing his readiness to embark on the movie-making journey, the producer highlighted his commitment to delivering a wholesome experience for the viewers. The producer acknowledged the audience’s expectations for top-notch quality.

Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez with Sajid Nadiadwala from the sets of Kick

The first part of the movie Kick was released 9 years ago in 2014. The movie is a remake of a Telugu film of the same name. It was one of the highest-grossing films of its time. The movie also boasted a stellar cast of Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Randeep Hooda and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Kick was high on action and comedy and fans loved it.

On the work front, the producer Sajid is currently preparing for the release of his upcoming movie Bawaal starring Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan. The movie will release on July 21. The actor also recently announced Chandu Champion with Kartik Aaryan and Housefull 5 with Akshay Kumar.

On the other hand, Salman Khan is set to bring back the Tiger franchise with the third part of the film. He is set to reprise the role of spy alongside Katrina Kaif. The movie also stars Emraan Hashmi as an antagonist. Tiger 3 is set to hit theatres this Diwali.
