Earlier today, Prime Video unveiled the intriguing and emotion-packed trailer for its upcoming Original docuseries, Angry Young Men. Centred around the personal and professional lives of the legendary writer-duo Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar – popularly known as Salim-Javed, the three-part docuseries will be released on the platform on August 20.
Present at the trailer launch were Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar as well as their kids Salman Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar and many more stars. During the interaction, Javed surprised all present by revealing he and Salim are planning on writing another film together. Read on to know what he shared.
Salim-Javed to reunite!
While at the trailer launch event, Salim–Javed were asked about their favourite dialogue. To this, Javed Akhtar replied, “Ab aayega woh,” leaving everyone shocked. Continuing further, the writer-lyricist added, “We are going to write now. I have spoken to Salim Khan sahab ke ek aur aakhri film, saath mein likhni chahiye.” Reacting to this, Salman Khan quicky said, “Line yahan se shuru hoti hai.”
Akhtar then stated that they were paid more than a film’s hero during the peak of their career – in the ’70s and ’80s, and they would charge a huge pay cheque today. He said, “Uss zamane mein bhi hamari price zyada thi, iss zamene mein toh bohoy hi zyada hogi. Woh dekh lijiye”
