Salim Khan – I am relieved that Salman Khan has been acquitted

Salman Khan has been acquitted of all charges against him in the Hit & Run case. The moment the Judge passed this sentence the court was filled with jubilant screams of family and friends alike, a wave of joy gained credence and floated out towards the others who were waiting for the verdict with a hope for the talented actor.

Along with the bouquets, there were brick-bats too for the Bajrangi Bhaijaan. As rumours of money solving the problems of the rich grew. Salman’s father who has been the strong force behind his son spoke in the actor’s  defense.

Salman Khan’s father writer Salim Khan said, “I am happy that Salman has been absolved of all the charges. Everybody is happy. Every person who is close to Salman emotionally, is happy. Some people were oblivious to the ordeal that my son faced because of the case. People are saying he has just walked away. He has been in the jail for few days. He has spent over Rs 20-25 crores (on the case). Besides this, what about the tension that he and everyone went through all this time?”

On December 10, seven months after a sessions court convicted and sentenced Salman Khan to five-years of imprisonment in May, the Bombay High Court absolved the actor of all charges in the case.
