Salman Khan has commenced filming for his upcoming project, Sikandar, in Hyderabad, despite facing new death threats. In response, the production team has implemented a comprehensive four-tier security system for the actor.
Salman Khan shoots for Sikandar amid fresh death threats
According to a report from Mid-Day, a significant portion of the hotel section where Salman Khan is staying has been sealed off, with access restricted solely to the Sikandar crew. Guests must undergo a two-step screening process: first by the hotel staff and then by Salman’s security team, before entering the secured area. Additionally, all hotel staff members are subject to daily checks to ensure strict adherence to security protocols.
Salman Khan’s security detail is bolstered by government protection. His security includes National Security Guard (NSG) commandos and police personnel from both Hyderabad and Mumbai. The comprehensive security setup involves private ex-paramilitary personnel and a specialized team selected by his long-time bodyguard, Shera. It is in collaboration with local police.
During filming, Salman is accompanied by a squad of 50 to 70 security personnel. This heightened security follows a recent threat reportedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which was conveyed to a songwriter due to a controversial track associating Salman with the incarcerated gangster. Authorities are currently investigating the threat.
Once filming in Hyderabad is complete, the Dabangg actor will travel to Dubai for his Da-Bangg Reloaded show. Salman Khan is currently shooting musical sequences with actress Rashmika Mandanna for Sikandar amid fresh death threats. As a precaution, the hotel is completely locked down during filming. It has also prohibited any unauthorized entry to ensure the safety of all involved.
Salman Khan’s death threats
The threat was made in link to a song referring to Salman Khan and Lawrence Bishnoi, saying that the songwriter would face severe retaliation within a month. The threat said that the songwriter “will no longer be able to write songs.” The message went on to directly challenge Salman Khan, saying, “If Salman Khan has the courage, he should save them.” This episode follows a string of threats made by Lawrence Bishnoi and his cohorts, who had previously singled out the Bollywood star due to problems regarding a 1998 blackbuck poaching case.
