Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui says that his ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ co-star Salman Khan didn’t have any wrong intentions behind his controversial “raped woman” comment.
When asked about it at a screening of his film ‘Raman Raghav 2.0’, Nawazuddin said, “He (Salman) used the comment metaphorically. The discussions over it are over and there is no point in repeating it and asking questions about it.”
Salman had an interview where he said that he felt like a “raped woman” coming out of his fights with wrestlers while shooting for his film ‘Sultan’.
He seemed to regret it later saying, “I don’t think I should have” but then explained the fact that he was not able to walk.
Nawazuddin, though, inadvertently said that Salman has already “removed the tweet” and then added, “The intention has to be considered.”
Salman is yet to clarify but his father, writer Salim Khan, has apologised on Twitter on behalf of their whole family.
