Salman Khan

Recently, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) appointed Salman Khan as the brand ambassador of their initiative Open Defecation Free drive in order to keep the city clean. Knowing that the superstar has a huge fan following, it would be a good help to the authorities to spread the awareness of their drive. But, looks like there is some trouble for Salman Khan, as this decision of BMC is being opposed by few politicians.

As per reports, the Mumbai president Asish Shelar of BJP is not quite happy with Salman being the brand ambassador of this drive. Mr Ashish Shelar quoted to a daily, “How can some accused of killing a Chinkara be a brand ambassador of the BMC?” As an answer to Asish Shelar, the Shiv Sena authorities then started questioning the Prime Minister and BJP leader Narendra Modi’s participation in Kite flying event with Salman Khan. Twitter was all about Narendra Modi’s pictures with Salman Khan.
