Salman Khan’s Eid release ‘Sultan‘ is ruling the box office, but in the midst of this triumph runs a setback for the Khan. Yes, he had been asked to explain his controversial “rape” comment by the Maharashtra women’s panel, but the Dabangg Khan failed to show up for the second time.
Finally, the actor has been given a third and last chance to appear before the Women’s Panel. If he does not make a point to be present the third time around, he will be given an FIR or police complaint lodged against him.
Sources said, “Salman Khan had sparked uproar when he said that his heavy training for the film ‘Sultan’ left him feeling ‘like a raped woman’. He was summoned both by the national and state women’s commissions. Neither Salman nor his lawyer attended the hearing today. This is the second summon he is missing, we will give him another final chance on the 14th of July.”
The Maharashtra State Commission for Women wants a personal apology from Salman Khan, they are not satisfied with anything less.
So will the Khan make an appearance and apologize in person? We shall soon update you on it.
