Superstar Salman Khan had recently applied for a gun license from the Mumbai police amid death threats. The Bharat star and his father Salim Khan had received a death threat days after Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead. Reportedly Dabangg Khan’s application has been accepted and he has been issued a firearm for self-defence.
Salman Khan has not only received a firearm license for self-protection amid death threats from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. He has also updated his regular car to a bulletproof land cruiser.
As reported by sources to Hindustan Times, “A senior IPS officer has apparently confirmed that the license was printed. As per the procedure, the file was sent to the office of the deputy commissioner of police (zone 9) for verification as well as to check the criminal record. Further, the officials added that once the document verification and background check were cleared, looking at the seriousness of the threat the police headquarters cleared the file.”

Sources added that the actor’s representative collected the license from the firearm license branch in the police headquarters. The license was handed over after taking the acknowledgement of the person
Salman and his father received a death threat in early June. The letter said that the actor and his father would soon meet the same fate as Sidhu Moosewala. After the letter, the superstar’s security was increased.
