Not very long ago, while promoting ‘Sultan’, Salman Khan found himself amid an extremely uncalled controversy. To explain how the preparations were too grueling, he said he felt like a ‘raped woman’. Needess to say, this irked angst from all corners and the superstar was also slapped with more than one legal notice. Victims of sexual abuse as well opened up, slamming him for being ‘insensitive’.

Another part of the film industry, however, believes his comment misunderstood. In fact, not the first time he has been criticised for his actions and remarks. Now, he says, he’d rather like to be careful than being sorry later. (Also Read: Salman Khan is DISGUSTED by the Harvey Weinstein scandal)

Salman was speaking at HT Leadership Summit 2017 wherein he spoke about being ‘misunderstood’ for decades now.

“For the last 25-30 years, I have been hearing that I am the most misunderstood person there is. Yeh misunderstanding kaise tees saal se ek aadmi kayam kar sakta hain? But, if someone is saying that you are misunderstood, that means he understood me. He [has] totally got it. Otherwise, how would they say I am misunderstood?,” he said.

That’s quite a wordplay.

He later confessed he was kind of nervous to be speaking on the platform, although he enjoyed it. “I don’t know about the audience, but I really did. I was really nervous; I did not know what Shekhar Gupta (the host) was going to ask me, but he was really kind with his questions, and I really enjoyed answering them,” he told HT.

“I am nervous just about anything nowadays.

…I would rather be cautious than being sorry now,” he added.

True that. Better safe than sorry!
