Say What! Salman Khan is Olympic silver medalist Mirabai Chanu’s favorite actor

National weightlifter Saikhom Mirabai Chanu did India proud when she won a medal on the first day of the Tokyo Olympics 2020 on Saturday. The 26-year old bagged the silver medal in the women’s 49-kg category, opening India’s medal account in the mega-sports fest in Tokyo, which was deferred by a year due to the novel coronavirus outbreak globally last year. She was showered with love and praises from the entire nation, including Bollywood actors. Salman Khan who is an ardent sports lover also congratulated Chanu.

Salman took to his Twitter handle and wrote, “Congratulations @mirabai_chanu on becoming a nation’s superstar today! You made us proud & how!! Aap too asli dabangg nikli! #Tokyo #TeamIndia”

While several celebrities have celebrated Chanu’s medal win on various social media platforms, what makes the Radhe star’s post special is that he is her favourite actor. When asked about her favourite actor during one of her earlier interviews, Chanu has named Salman and been quoted as saying, “Salman Khan mujhe bahut hi pasand hai. Unki body structure, sab pasand hai.”

Apart from Salman, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Farhan Akhtar, Dia Mirza and several other celebs showered the weightlifter with love as they congratulated her for bagging the silver medal with her terrific performance in Tokyo Olympics 2020.
