Salman Khan mourns Lata Mangeshkar’s death, says, ‘You will be missed our nightingale’

Legendary singer of the nation Lata Mangeshkar passed away today. She was 92 years old and she breathed her last at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital at 8:12 am today. She was on ventilator support and was diagnosed with Covid-19 along with pneumonia. The entire nation is in mourning have been pouring in messages on social media. Bollywood superstar Salman Khan also took to his social media account and shared a heartfelt note.

Salman Khan shared a picture with Lata Mangeshkar from an award show. Salman seemed to be presenting the singer and award on stage. Lata Mangeshkar was seen holding a microphone and giving her speech while Salman stood close by.

Sharing the picture on his Instagram account, Salman wrote in the caption, “U will be missed our nightingale. But ur voice shall live with us forever … #RIPLataji(sic)”

Meanwhile, Dr Pratit Samdani, who was treating the singer at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital said in a statement revealing the reason of her death, “It is with profound grief that we announce the sad demise of #LataMangeshkar at 8:12 am. She has died because of multi-organ failure after more than 28 days of hospitalisation post #COVID19: Dr Pratit Samdani, who was treating her at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital”

The funeral of Lata Mangeshkar will take place at Shivaji Park today and her last rites will be done with full state honours. Many politicians and Bollywood actors have arrived at her residence after hearing the tragic news.
