Salman Khan on Mumbai Rains: It seemed like Ganpati Bappa came to do our visarjan

When it comes to unpredictable things, nothing can beat Mumbai rains. In the last two days, it was raining cats and dogs in Mumbai. So much so that the entire city came to a halt, train services were disrupted, commuters were stranded, school-colleges were shut down. It was a living nightmare quite literally.

Yesterday, at IIFA 2019 press conference, Salman cracked a hilarious joke on Mumbai rains. The actor jokingly said that this time Ganpati Bappa came to do our visarjan.

At the conference, Salman was at his wittiest best. Talking about the heavy downpour that Mumbai experienced in the last few days, Salman said, “Iss baar aisa laga ki Bappa hamara visarjan karne walein hai. Humesha hum unka visarjan kartein hai, Iss baar Baapa ne bola tumlog ka visarjan karunga’. Thank God unka mind change hogaya.” (This time, it seemed like Ganpati Bappa will do our visarjan. Every year, we immerse him, this time Bappa said ‘I’ll immerse them’. Thank God he changed his mind)”

Hahaha…now that was a good joke. Isn’t it? Well, we hope in the coming days, Mumbai rains subside eventually.

At the conference, the superstar also spoke about the need for awareness regarding preserving the environment. He also championed for the cause of ‘Fit India’ and ‘Swachh Bharat’. On the work front, Salman will be next seen in ‘Dabangg 3’.
