Salman Khan on tracking down Twitter trolls

Bollywood’s Bhaijaan aka Salman Khan is one of the few superstars who are loved, ardently followed and at times literally worshipped by the countless fans and admirers out there. But, certainly, that doesn’t make him different. Also, this does not let him escape the army of trolls who are there to just abuse on social media. Like Salman, there are many such Bollywood celebs that have become a target of internet trolls now and then. Among them, sometimes these trolls just go unnoticed but there are times when some stars react to it.

Currently, Salman is running busy with the promotions of his film ‘Tubelight’ and recently during an interview with Deccan Chronicle, the actor was asked about his take on social media and internet trolls. (Also Check: ‘Tubelight’: Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha and Sohail Khan pump up the fun on ‘Nach Baliye 8’)

To which he replied saying, “I have stopped reading Twitter. I wanted to discontinue it, but my PR team advised against it. If they were my fans, they would have an identity. Are they so ashamed of who they are that they hide behind a nameless face? We did track a few of them down, but did not reveal their identity as we didn’t want to ruin their future.” [sic]

Well, we must say that it was kind enough on Salman’s part to not reveal the identities of the trolls. But, this even gives us an idea of the damage these trolls do to the image of a star, for no reason whatsoever.

Talking about the film ‘Tubelight’, it is a war drama directed by Kabir Khan. It also stars Salman’s brother Sohail Khan, Chinese actress Zhu Zhu and child actor Matin Rey Tangu.

The movie is slated to release on June 23, 2017.
