Wajid Khan of Sajid-Wajid passed away on June 1 as he was suffering from kidney-related issues. He was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai where he had a heart attack as confirmed by his brother Sajid to news agency PTI. Salman Khan took to his Twitter handle to mourn the demise of the music composer who worked with the actor in most of his movies.

Salman tweeted, “Wajid Vil always love, respect, remember n miss u as a person n ur talent, Love u n may your beautiful soul rest in peace …”(sic).

Wajid and Sajid Khan started their career with Salman Khan’s movie. They first scored music in ‘Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya’ in 1998. Over the years, they have become acclaimed music directors. The duo also composed music for the ‘Dabangg’ franchise. Apart from this, they have composed songs for several films of Salman like ‘Partner’, ‘God Tussi Great Ho’, ‘Wanted’, and ‘Veer’ to name a few. Wajid Khan also lent his voice for Salman Khan’s chartbuster songs like ‘Hud Hud Dabangg’, ‘Jalwa’, ‘Chinta Ta Ta Chita Chita’ and ‘Fevicol Se’ among others. His last song with Salman was ‘Bhai Bhai’ that released on Eid.

Wajid Khan’s death is a great loss to the entire music industry.
