Superstar Salman Khan’s upcoming film Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai is all set to have a multi-format release on May 13. Helmed by Prabhudeva, Radhe is hands-down one of the highly anticipated films of this year. Since Wanted, all films of Salman have done wonders at the box office.
Ahead of Radhe’s release, we spoke to Salman Khan about how when media and the audience judges an actor for their box office numbers, he has always stayed away consciously in defining his success numbers. Salman told Bollywood Bubble about what exactly he is looking for in terms of Radhe’s success. He says, “We may get the lowest numbers with Radhe. It might not even cross 10-15 crores but whoever wants to be happy with this lowest number can be happy. Some people will be happy with my lowest numbers while some people will be happy with my highest numbers. The lowest numbers are going to be Radhe. We would lose money on Radhe and box office collections are going to be almost zero but we are still going ahead with Radhe. My life’s ambition was 10 lakh rupees. It will come with nothing, it will go with nothing so whatever this is, it is much more than plus.”
Salman also speaks about his views on mother Earth, he turns philosophical and says, “I need to pay rent to mother Earth to be here. So I am paying rent to mother Earth and the day we all start doing that, we will all be fine and the rent doesn’t only mean monetarily. It could just be a smile, a hi, forgiveness… is good enough. You doing something nice that makes someone smile is good enough. That is the rent everyone needs to pay otherwise, what is your utility? There’s no utility apart from that. Everything is going to be forgotten. After one is dead and gone, one father should tell their son that, “Son, be exactly like Salman Khan” and the other father should say, “Do whatever you want to do but don’t want to be like Salman Khan” because I must have hurt him, consciously or subconsciously or knowingly. So, from both negative or positive come out positive.”

Salman who has worked in Radhe in the new normal mode feels change is inevitable. He says, “Change is inevitable but I don’t want that. I want to grow. I want to let go off bad qualities and grow.”
During the media interaction, Salman also said that he does not want people to get the virus because they watched his film in theatres. “I know people are disappointed that they will not be able to watch Radhe on the big screen. Some people have booked auditoriums and are planning to screen my film, which I won’t encourage because I don’t want people to say ‘Salman Khan ki picture dekhne gaye aur corona phail gaya’. Once this pandemic is over and theatres reopen, if people like the film, we will try to release it on the big screen,” he said. The actor went on to state that he has taken the first jab of the COVID-19 vaccine and his second dose is due in the next two weeks.
