Salman Khan and box office records go hand in hand. Every film which Salman has been part of has been a box office hit and hence he has earned the title of Hit machine for himself. But Salman’s last release ‘Tubelight ‘ was an exception as the film tanked very badly at box office. Salman and ‘Tubelight’ director Kabir Khan have collaborated on previous two ocassions namely ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ which were the highest grossing film of that year but failed with ‘Tubelight’. Speaking to a web portal about ‘Tublight’, Salman said, “Tubelight was an amazing film and I make jokes on it but it was a really good film. Actually the film was meant for family audience. So the Eid was not the right time for it to release. It was a very heart wrenching kind of a film where you cry and you feel for the brothers and stuff like that. And Eid or Diwali or Christmas, festive release should always be entertaining. It can be action, romance, comedy but it has be an entertaining film.”
Looks like Salman has realised from his mistake and hence has his next ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ which also stars Katrina Kaif releasing on December, 22 which is a Christmas week. We hope the film does good at box office and ends the year on high for Salman.
On work front, Salman is currently shooting for director Remo D’souza’s ‘Race 3 ‘which also stars Jaqueline Fernandez, Anil Kapoor, Daisy Shah and Bobby Deol.
