Recently, singer Gippy Grewal also received threats from the gangster citing he is a close friend of Tiger 3 actor. Now, Salman Khan has received threats via Facebook after which his security is being reviewed. There is no clarity if this new threat is connected to the threats Salman has received in the past from Lawrence Bishnoi and his gang.
When Lawrence Bishnoi threatened Gippy Grewal
A few days back, a Facebook account under the name of Lawrence Bishnoi claimed responsibility for the attack on Gippy Grewal’s home in Canada. The post read, “Your close ties with Salman Khan won’t protect you. It’s time for your ‘brother’ to step up and defend you. This message also extends to Salman Khan – don’t fool yourself into thinking Dawood Ibrahim can safeguard you from our reach. No one can save you. Your ostentatious response to Sidhu Moose Wala’s death didn’t go unnoticed. You were well aware of his character and his criminal connections.”
Gippy says that he is not a friend of Salman Khan
On this, Gippy reacted on a news channel and said that he is not a friend of Salman Khan. Gippy told the channel that he has met Salman Khan only twice, once during the trailer launch of his Punjabi film ‘Maujaan Hi Maujaan’ and on the sets of Bigg Boss.
Before this, Salman Khan’s father Salim Khan also received a death threat while he was on a stroll at Bandstand. Post which, a minor was arrested in the case. For the unversed, Bishnoi is also the alleged mastermind behind the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala.
Why Salman Khan is receiving death threats?
The threats stem from the 1998 blackbuck case that transpired in Jodhpur, Rajasthan while the actor was shooting for Hum Saath Saath Hain. Salman Khan was accused of hunting and killing two blackbucks in Rajasthan’s Kankani. Notably, his Hum Saath Saath Hain co-actors Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Neelam, and Tabu were also charged under Section 51. However, they were later acquitted.
