The new year has bought along some good news for the troubled youngster Sooraj Pancholi, whose girlfriend’s suicide had put a spanner in his dream launch. Sooraj and Athiya Shetty (Sunil Shetty’s daughter) had been selected to play the lead roles in ‘Hero’ a remake of the hit Subhash Ghai movie . Now it seems that the future is all bright with Salman Khan setting up the date for the filming and release of his first movie to be produced under Salman Khan production banner.
According to sources, “Hero will start shooting on 18th February. It will release on 12th December. Those are the dates Salman has locked in on Nikhil Advani who has been selected by Salman to direct the ‘Hero’ remake. The plot is different from the original ‘Hero’ and so are the characters. The hero Kishen (originally played by Jackie Shroff) is more aggressive and urban. And Salman wants the action to be far more stylized.”
Sooraj’s father actor Aditya Pancholi was quite happy for his son to be launched by Salman Khan. “My boy couldn’t have hoped for a better debut. Salman and his team have taken full charge of Sooraj. Sooraj and Aathiya have been doing a lot of acting workshops together. They look sensational together. I promise you, they will rip the screen apart.
