Salman Khan to do a cameo in Atlee’s Baby John opposite Varun Dhawan before his solo film with the director?

Salman Khan and Atlee’s potential collaboration for a two-hero action entertainer has been generating buzz for a month. While the project hasn’t been officially confirmed, the possibility of a partnership between Salman and the ‘Jawan’ director has excited fans. Regardless of whether this two-hero pan-India project comes to fruition, Salman and Atlee are definitely working on something together.

Salman Khan to collaborate with Atlee in Baby John starring Varun Dhawan

According to the news of Peeping Moon, Salman Khan is first teaming up with Atlee for a special cameo role in his debut Bollywood production before they proceed with their full-fledged feature film later this year. Salman has agreed to a cameo appearance in ‘Baby John’, starring Varun Dhawan, Keerthy Suresh, and Wamiqa Gabbi, which Atlee is producing along with Murad Khetani of Cine1 Studios. The film, an official remake of the Tamil hit ‘Theri’, is set to release in cinemas on Christmas weekend this year.

Details of Salman’s cameo are being kept under wraps, but it’s believed to involve a mass action sequence specifically written and designed for him. The Sultan of Bollywood will appear alongside Varun in this elaborate sequence, which is planned to be shot later this month or in August, depending on the weather. This cameo marks another on-screen reunion for Salman and Varun following their appearances in “Judwaa 2” and “Antim: The Final Truth.” Salman also made a voiceover appearance as various gods in Varun’s “Main Tera Hero,” though they didn’t share screen time.

The principal photography of “Baby John” has already been completed, with only a song and the Salman Khan sequence left to be shot. They’re expected to wrap up by next month, after which the film will undergo extensive post-production to prepare for its December 25, 2024, release. Tamil filmmaker Kalees is directing the movie, while “Jawan” fame Sumit Arora has penned the dialogues.

Salman and Atlee’s collaboration, even in the form of this cameo, has fans eagerly anticipating the chemistry and action they will bring to the screen. The excitement surrounding their future full-fledged project continues to build as well.
