The ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ actor said, “Tubelight’ was not meant for an Eid release, because it was a serious film, not a celebratory film. And people got emotional when they came out of the theater. The film would have worked even better on a normal release.”

For those, who are unaware, ‘Tubelight’ released in 2017 on the occasion of Eid. Most of Salman Khan’s films released during Eid have a record-breaking business and ‘Tubelight’ was an exception. The film was directed by Kabir Khan starring Salman Khan, Sohail Khan and late Om Puri.

Meanwhile, Salman Khan is currently awaiting his next release ‘Bharat’, which incidentally will release on Eid. The Ali Abbas Zafar directorial also stars Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani and Jackie Shroff in lead roles.

‘Bharat’ promises to be a stunt-packed one, with glimpses of action sequences showed in the teaser. The film will see Salman in five different looks, spanning over 60 years, including a crucial part which will showcase the actor in his late 20s, looking much leaner and younger.
