Salman Khan was not the first choice for ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan just cannot stop smiling, for his recent release ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ as predicted is breaking records. Directed by Kabir Khan the movie also stars Kareena Kapoor, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Harshaali Malhotra.

But do you know that prior to it being offered to Salman Khan, ‘Bajrangi Bhijaan’ had been offered to many superstars. It seems that the writer KVVP, who has penned both Baahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan revealed that, Bajrangi Bhaijaan was offered to many from Aamir Khan who could not do it due to packed schedule to South superstars Rajinikanth, Puneeth Rajkumar and Allu Arjun. The story was even narrated to Rakesh Roshan who wanted to make it with his son Hrithik Roshan, but things did not gel and at last the movie was made with Salman Khan in the lead.

Writer-director KV Vijayendra Prasad admits Salman was the best choice for the film. “All the work he’s been doing through his Being Human foundation, particularly, the 2,000 heart operations he recently funded, made him apt for the lead role of Pawan/Bajrangi. And thanks to his humanitarian acts, Salman gave the character a realistic touch.”

Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan has already minted 300 crores all over.
