A Salman Khan fan has crossed the border without a visa and a ticket to meet the superstar. Government Railway Police in Jalandhar detained a 27-year-old Pakistani woman travelling in the Samjhauta Express without a passport and train ticket. On being questioned she said that she has come over to meet Salman Khan as she is an ardent fan of the Khan.
The fans name is Fauzia, alias Chanda Khan, who hails from Karachi. The lady who is fluent in Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi said that her husband’s name too is Salman, and she was travelling with her maternal uncle Rashid Khan who has her passport and visa. But he got down to get water and has not returned. As she was constantly changing her her answers the Railway police detained her.
The Railway police handed her over to the immigration authorities in Amritsar for interrogation. Fauzia has been booked under the Foreigners Act and Indian Passport Act. She is being produced in court for seeking police remand.
It is truly a matter of concern as to how Fauzia managed to enter India without a passport and a visa. At a time when Punjab is on a high alert after the July 27 Dinanagar terror attack.
