Salman and Priyanka to start shooting for ‘Bharat’ on this date

Priyanka Chopra is all set to make her comeback in Bollywood after almost 2 years. Her upcoming film, ‘Bharat’ also stars Salman Khan, with whom PeeCee has worked previously in films like ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’, ‘Salaam-E-Ishq’ and ‘God Tussi Great Ho’.  For all the fans waiting for an update about ‘Bharat’, we have some news for you!

Priyanka and Salman will start shooting for ‘Bharat’ on July 17, which is 3 days from now. The shoot will take place in Mumbai only.

Ali Abbas Zafar, in an interview with DNA, had revealed that the film, which is a coming of age drama, will cover important events of history. He said, “Since the story spans over a period of 70 years, there will be many historical references. It is essentially about a man who lives through several significant moments from India’s past to present.”

“We are currently working on the film’s pre-production and details will be announced once we are in a position to talk about them. The Partition sequences will be shot in Punjab, keeping in mind the minute details which have been researched over the last three months. Original steam engines will be used for this shoot along with art, costumes, and nuances, which will give the feel of that era,” he added.

Talking about Salman’s look he had said, “Salman will sport five different looks in ‘Bharat’, which begins with him witnessing one of the most dramatic chapters of our history — the Partition. It’s an Indian adaptation of the Korean movie, ‘Ode to My Father’ and will be a commercial film with a mix of action, drama and music.”

Like Salman, Priyanka will also sport five different looks. Apart from Priyanka and Salman, the film also stars Disha Patani, Tabu, Sunil Grover, Shashank Arora and others.
