This is why Salman Khan thanked Shah Rukh Khan for Katrina Kaif

After Priyanka Chopra, walked out of Salman Khan’s ‘Bharat’, the makers got Katrina Kaif on board for the same. Apparently, the actress was busy shooting for Shah Rukh Khan’s much-awaited film ‘Zero‘ when the film was offered to her. The actress decided to have a word regarding the same with SRK, who agreed to alter his shooting dates with her for ‘Bharat’.

Talking about this, Salman expressed his gratitude towards Shah Rukh Khan and told Times Of India, “It was really large-hearted of Katrina. She had to speak with Shah Rukh (Khan) and work out her dates (for Zero). It was also very sweet of Shah Rukh to shift the dates of his project that he is working so hard on. I am also a part of it and have done a song in it.”

Bhai was also asked whether Katrina was the first choice for the film, to which he said that Atul Agnihotri (producer) and baby’s (Alvira, Salman’s sister) first choice was Katrina. But Priyanka Chopra was keen on doing the film as Ali Abbas Zafar and Priyanka have worked together in past.

Talking about ‘Bharat’, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the film also stars Disha Patani, comedian Sunil Grover and Jackie Shroff in lead roles. The film will hit theaters next year on EID. Whereas, Shah Rukh’s ‘Zero’ also featuring Anushka Sharma will release in December this year.
