Sameera Reddy on her comeback: I don’t want to do the run-of-the-mill glamour stuff

Sameera Reddy quit films after she married Akshai Varde in January 2014 and she had rarely made public appearances. She devoted her entire time towards her family. Today she is a mother of two and happy dedicating and taking care of her family.

When we asked if she has any upcoming projects in the future to which Sameera said, “Until my daughter is atleast four-five years old I will never be able to leave her side. I will be very happy If I can do anything with her around but will not be able to leave her. It’s not a possible thing.”

On her comeback, Sameera said, “I will definitely come back. I don’t want to do the run-of-the-mill glamour stuff. I want to do something now which really is something more substantial.”

A year after their marriage, Sameera and Akshai together had welcomed their first child, a baby boy on May 24, 2015. They named him Hans Varde. On July 12, 2019, they welcomed a baby girl. When Sameera was pregnant with her first child, she struggled with her body weight. She touched 102 kgs the month Hans was born. Her confidence was shattered as she couldn’t lose the weight for a year. She was even scared to step out.

Sameera Reddy has worked in both Hindi and South film industries. She featured in films like ‘Race’, ‘Taxi No 9211’ ‘Maine Dil Tujhko Diya’, ‘Darna Mana Hai’, ‘De Dana Dan’ among others.
