EXCLUSIVE: Sanjana Sanghi opens up about the ‘endless’ times she was replaced in films

Sanjana Sanghi talked about the endless times she was replaced in movies in an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble. The actress said that she does not like, not being told the reason why she was not taken up for a part. We set down for a candid chat with Sanjana when she said that she was replaced an endless number of times in films for which she had given a test for or met anyone. The Dil Bechara debutant also said that there have been times where she has not been given a reason for it either.

Sanjana revealed to Bollywood Bubble, “I think any film that you either test for or meet someone for that doesn’t end up working out is you being replaced in a way. So by that account, endless I guess. It helps you sleep at night if you know why it didn’t work out for you when you really want something. I just need to know why otherwise I can’t improve as an actor and I would love to know if there was something wrong in the perspective that I was reading the script in. My idea is to grow, if I am not doing the film, at least I should learn something from the experience.”

Sanjana further added, “But that does not happen. Even in like ad auditions, I remember when I used to be like a teenager.  For some big campaign that I used to audition for, you keep being like ‘what’s the update?’. When there is no answer, it is a no. There is never a ‘sorry it didn’t work out for you’. If I ever go on to make stuff on my own that is the only thing I want to change. Like, respond to everyone because their life depends on it.”
