Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur to team up for ‘Sadak’ sequel

Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt are coming together once again for the sequel of ‘Sadak’. The 1991 romantic thriller was helmed by Mahesh Bhatt and featured Pooja and Sanjay Dutt in lead roles. It was about a taxi driver (played by Sanjay) who falls in love with a woman forced into prostitution (Pooja) and takes on her pimp (Sadashiv Amrapurkar) to rescue her.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh had also tweeted about the sequel to the hit flick.

Now, rumour mills are abuzz that the movie will bring together Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur. The three actors were spotted at Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt’s Mumbai office on Tuesday, in colour co-ordinated black, around 5 pm. They stayed put there for an hour.

According to a Mumbai Mirror report, the actors have kicked off work on the sequel of the 1991 romantic-thriller that had featured Pooja Bhatt and Sanjay as lead. Sanjay is set to return as the original protagonist Ravi, and will be joined by a young couple, played by Alia and Aditya.

The report further suggests that, “The discussion mostly revolved around the script and the prep which is slated to begin shortly. While the entire team has been tight-lipped about the project, an official announcement is expected on Mahesh Bhatt’s 70th birthday on September 20.”

‘Sadak 2’ is presented by Mahesh Bhatt in association with Vishesh Films and is being produced by Mukesh Bhatt. The film is releasing on November 15, 2019.
