Sanjay Dutt and Sridevi to reunite after 25 years for this movie…

Filmmaker Abhishek Verman who has directed the hit movie ‘2 States’ is back with his next project titled as ‘Shiddat’. The movie has been in the news for a long time now, the reason being its star cast. There have been several reports over its star cast and now here comes a confirmation from ace fashion designer Manish Malhotra. He told a popular daily, “I am working on a period film starring Varun and Alia, Sanjay Dutt, Sridevi, Aditya Roy Kapur, so that’s a big cast. It will be a period film of a period I feel close to, It is during partition between 1945 to 1947.” Woah!

It’s going to be exciting to see Sanjay Dutt and Sridevi reunite after 25 long years. They had worked together in Manish Bhatt’s movie ‘Gumrah’. In the past, a source had stated to Mumbai Mirror that the the concept for the film took shape from Karan Johar’s father, the late Yash Johar. The movie is a period film, a partition drama. Also, reports suggest that ‘Shiddat’ is the tentative title of the movie and the search for the final title is still going on. The movie will be produced by Dharma Productions in association with Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and will be mostly releasing in the last quarter of 2018. This would be Varun and Alia’s fourth project after movies like ‘Student Of The Year’, ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ and ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’.

Well, this is also a sigh of relief for all the fans of Varun and Alia as some recent reports suggested that the two are not keen on working with each other after working in three movies.
