Sanjay Dutt flies down to Varanasi to perform his parents’ Shradh

Sanjay Dutt, who is making his Bollywood comeback with the film ‘Bhoomi’ after serving his jail term, is leaving no stone unturned to make this film as successful as possible. The trailer and the songs have created a humongous buzz around the film and with the promotions, Sanjay is adding up to the anticipation. But amidst the hectic schedule of promotions, Dutt spared some time to fly down to the temple city of Varanasi to perform the Shradh of his parents, Sunil Dutt and Nargis Dutt.

As per reports, Sanjay flew to Varanasi in a chartered plane and carried out the ceremony. 8 pandits helped him carry out the ‘pind daan’. “This was very important for our family,” he said.

His upcoming film ‘Bhoomi’ is directed by Omung Kumar. It is a revenge-drama wherein a father (Sanjay Dutt) fights the goons to protect his daughter’s (Aditi Rao Hydari) dignity. Sharad Kelkar essays the role of an antagonist here. The film is slated to release on September 22 and it would be clashing with Shraddha Kapoor’s ‘Haseena Parkar’.
