Sanjay Dutt goes on hunger strike in Jail

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt is languishing behind bars in Yerawada jail. Sanjay had been convicted in the Mumbai Blast case for hoarding illegal weapons in his home. Dutt who is currently serving his sentence in Pune jail, was apparently on a hunger strike within the jail premises.

Sources said, “Sanjay Dutt had received the news of his aunt (father Sunil Dutt’s sister) Rani Bali’s demise, an upset Sanju Baba requested the authorities to allow him to attend the funeral rites. But he was denied permission, this upset the actor to a great extent. So he gave up eating”.

Sources further added, “Sanjay Dutt enclosed himself within his cell, where he has small temple made. Sitting in front of that temple he was seen crying inconsolably and not eating or talking to anyone”.
