Say What! Sanjay Dutt is not promoting ‘Kalank’ for THIS reason

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has always defied odds and risen like a phoenix after every setback. The 59-year-old actor is now waiting for his next release ‘Kalank‘. The film features a heavyweight line-up and most of the cast is currently busy with the promotions of the film. But, Sanjay Dutt has rather not been promoting the film. Though, he was present at the teaser and trailer launch.

Reportedly, Sanjay Dutt had informed the makers of the film while he signed it that he will only be a part of the main events and not engage in promotional activities. The main reason behind this was because the actor’s role is not a pivotal one, but instead a supporting role.

The ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’ actor is doing this film because it is very close to his heart. Sanjay had discussed the film with Karan Johar’s late father Yash Johar long ago and was on board since the beginning. It was only now that the dream of the late filmmaker turned into a reality as the film releases next week.

Tracing back the discussion with Yash Johar, Sanjay Dutt said, “Yes, I briefly knew about it. He had spoken about it and I am glad that Abhishek (Varman) turned Yash uncle’s dream into reality on celluloid. For me, this is like working in my home production because of Yash uncle and the relationship that we have shared with their family for so many years. It feels great to be part of such a huge film.”
