Not only Sanjay Dutt, but celebrities like Sonakshi Sinha, Varun Dhawan, Kapil Sharma, Parineeti Chopra, Badshah and Varun Sharma have lent support to the anti-drug campaign, which will be launched on February 18 at educational campuses in Chandigarh and Hisar. The campaign will engage 25,000 students on campus, and over a crore students will be able to watch the event via live broadcast.
In a report to Times Now, Sanjay Dutt said, “I have experienced the menace of drugs first hand. I know the havoc it creates and so this cause is close to my heart. The aim is to make this campaign India’s largest. It’s very easy to get sucked into drug abuse, but very difficult to get out of it. It all starts when minds are young and impressionable. We have to firmly tell youngsters that drug abuse is not cool. That’s why we want to reach out to the youth of this country and spread the word through campuses.”
On the work front, Sanjay Dutt will next be seen in ‘Torbaaz’, ‘Panipat’, ‘Shamshera’ and ‘Prasthanam’s remake, which he will also be producing.
He also has Abhishek Varman’s ‘Kalank’ co-starring Madhuri Dixit, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur in important roles. Next is Mahesh Bhatt’s ‘Sadak 2’ sequel that will also feature Pooja Bhatt, Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur.
