Kannada star Yash’s ‘K.G.F: Chapter 1’ turned out to be an enormous hit. The film, which hit the theatres in December 2018, went on to make over Rs. 250 crore at the box office worldwide. The film was released in five languages including Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam. Recently, the makers also announced that the film had successfully completed 50 days of its theatrical run.

Yash, who played Rocky Bhai in the film, is now busy with the sequel to ‘K.G.F’. However, Yash recently announced that the makers have approached Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt to play the role of Adheera in ‘K.G.F: Chapter 2’.

In an interview with Asian Age, Yash said, “We had offered him Chapter One, which he did not accept perhaps for reasons of date availability. But yes, we have offered him Chapter 2 of ‘KGF’.”

Notably, if Sanjay Dutt agrees to play a role in ‘K.G.F: Chapter 2’, it will be his first ever south Indian film.

‘K.G.F: Chapter 1’ is directed by Prashanth Neel, who has written the story, screenplay as well as the dialogues. Vijay Kiragandur produced the project under his banner Hombale Films. The film has Yash playing the lead role and paired up opposite him is Srinidhi Shetty as the heroine. The rest of the star cast includes Achyuth Kumar, Nassar, Anant Nag and Vasishta N. Simha. The Hindi version of the film is distributed by Farhan Akthar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment jointly with Anil Thadani’s AA Films.
