Sanjay Dutt’s wife Maanayata Dutt issues a statement on his health; urges fans to not fall prey to unwarranted rumours

Sanjay Dutt has been diagnosed with lung cancer. This news has surely come as a huge shock to his fans and followers. Reportedly the actor is devastated by his diagnosis but the good thing is that his cancer is curable and he will immediately fly off to the US for his treatment.

Today, Sanjay’s wife Maanayata Dutt issued a statement on the actor’s cancer diagnosis. She urged the actor’s fans to not fall prey to unwarranted rumours and speculations. She even stated that Sanju and his family has always been a fighter and this too shall pass. Read on to know what all she said in her entire statement.

Expressing her gratitude for everyone who wished Sanjay a speedy recovery, Maanayata wrote, “I thank everyone who has expressed their well wishes for Sanju’s speedy recovery. We need all the strength and prayers to overcome this phase. There is a lot that the family has gone through in the past years but I am confident, this too shall pass.”

Urging the ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’ actor’s fans, Maanayata wrote, “However, it is my heartfelt request to Sanju’s fans to not fall prey to speculations and unwarranted rumours, but to just help us with their ongoing love, warmth and support.”

Lastly, she asked everyone to use the opportunity to spread positivity as she wrote, “Sanju has always been a fighter, and so has our family. God has yet again chosen to test us to overcome the challenges ahead. All we seek is your prayers and blessings, and we know we will emerge as winners on the other side, as we always have. Let us use this opportunity to spread light and positivity.”

Yesterday, announcing about taking a break from his professional commitments, Sanjay took to his Instagram handle and wrote, “Hi friends, I am taking a short break from work for some medical treatment. My family and friends are with me and I urge my well-wishers not to worry and unnecessarily speculate. With your love and good wishes, I will be back soon!”

On the work front, Sanjay has several films lined up. The trailer of his upcoming film ‘Sadak 2’ was unveiled today.
