Sanjay Kapoor shares a heart melting picture from Rajiv Kapoor’s prayer meet; pens an emotional note

Veteran Bollywood actor and filmmaker Rajiv Kapoor breathed his last on February 9. The ‘Ram Teri Ganga Maili’ actor died after suffering a massive heart attack. On February 13, the Kapoor clan held a prayer meet for the departed soul. Sanjay Kapoor shared a heart-melting picture from Rajiv Kapoor’s prayer meet. Sanjay and Rajiv were close friends. The Sirf Tum actor bid farewell to his late friend with an emotional post.

Sharing an unseen picture from Rajiv Kapoor’s prayer meet, Sanjay took to his Instagram handle and wrote, “You will always be in my Heart(sic).”

In the picture, Sanjay is seen sitting on a chair while late Rajiv Kapoor’s framed photo can be seen in the background. Sanjay’s wife Maheep Kapoor, Seema Khan, and Deanne Panday showered his post with heart emojis.

The prayer meet was attended by Neetu Singh, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Karisma Kapoor, Babita Kapoor, Armaan Jain, Aadar Jain, Reema Jain and several others. Owing to the pandemic, the Kapoors decided to keep the chautha (prayer meet) ceremony an intimate affair. Previously, sharing the reason why there will be no chautha for Rajiv Kapoor, Neetu had posted, “Due to the current pandemic circumstances, there will be no Chautha held for the Late Mr. Rajiv Kapoor for safety reasons. May is soul rest in peace. The entire Raj Kapoor family is a part of your grief too.”

Rajiv was the younger brother of veteran actors Randhir Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor.
