Sanjay Kapoor and Karisma Kapoor recently reunited after 22 years for Homi Adajania’s Murder Mubarak. They have earlier shared screen space in the movie Shakthi: The Power in 2002. While Sanjay played the royal Raja ji in the murder mystery, Karisma played a have-been star actress. The witty exchange between the two in the film is being widely lauded by the audience, and even the actor had a gala time reuniting with his former co-star.
Sanjay Kapoor on reuniting with Karisma Kapoor
Talking about his reunion with Karisma, Sanjay says, “Working with her is always great. We also did a TV show titled Karishma, which also features Arshad Warsi and Arbaaz Khan, and then we did Shakti: The Power. It was fantastic working with her then and we have been friends since. Even our families are quite close.”
While Sanjay is all praise for Karisma, he does have one wish that he regrets couldn’t be fulfilled on Murder Mubarak. He shares, “It’s always good to work with Karisma as she is too talented. I just wish we had a song at the end of Murder Mubarak where I could have got a chance to dance with her as she is a brilliant dancer. She was and still is one of the best dancers from the ’90s Bollywood”.
Sanjay’s recent movies
Sanjay is on a professional roll currently. Last year, he appeared in a grey shade role in Shahid Kapoor’s Bloody Daddy. This year, he started with an impressive performance in Sriram Raghavan’s Merry Christmas and now has given another memorable portrayal in Murder Mubarak.
