Sanjay Leela Bhansali halts the shooting of ‘Padmavati’, to return to Mumbai?

The attack on Sanjay Leela Bhansali in Jaipur on the sets of ‘Padmavati’ has shocked everyone. And now, after the incident, reportedly SLB has decided to put the shooting of the film on hold and return to Mumbai.

It is said that the director is on his way to Mumbai. However, there’s no official confirmation about the same. Many Bollywood celebs have come in support of the filmmaker and have spoken about the director being ill-treated.

All three lead actors, Shahid Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh were supposed to start shooting for the film in Jaipur by January 29. Now let’s see when the shooting of the film will restart.

‘Padmavati’ is based on Rani Padmavati, her husband Raja Rawal Ratan Singh, and Sultan Alauddin Khilji. The Sultan had a dangerous infatuation for the Rajput queen who, in order to protect her honour committed ‘Jauhar’ rather than surrender to the emperor. Sanjay Leela Bhansali is bringing to celluloid the story in his own grandeur.

However, the protesters have to say that the director is forging the facts for his film. From somewhere, they gauged the fact that there will be a dream sequence wherein Alauddin Khilji and Padmavati will be making love. This is Karni Sena’s justification for such act of vandalism.
