Kangana Ranaut recently compared Mumbai with Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) and her remark created a huge uproar. So much so that, Shiv Sena’s leader Sanjay Raut used derogatory terms for the actress on television. And his remark also snowballed into another controversy.

Now, Sanjay Raut has raised questions on Bollywood celebs’ silence over Kangana’s Pok remark. Raut asked why the rest of celebs’ didn’t say anything when Kangana defamed Mumbai. The Shiv Sena leader specifically mentioned Akshay Kumar’s name in his column that appears in the party’s mouthpiece Saamana.

Mentioning Akshay’s name in his column, Raut wrote about B-town celebs’ silence who have earned their name and fame in Mumbai. “Is Mumbai only for making money?” he asked these celebs directly. Calling the whole episode as a conspiracy to defame Mumbai, Raut compared the celeb’s silence with Pandavas’ silence when Draupadi was disrobed in Mahabharat. He had hoped that more film stars could have come forward and condemned Kangana’s view on Mumbai.

However, after Kangana’s infamous comment, several Bollywood actors like Renuka Shahane, Sonu Sood, Riteish Deshmukh, Dia Mirza, Swara Bhasker had come out in support of Mumbai. Looks like Raut wanted some of the top actors like Akshay Kumar to come forward too.

Following Kangana’s remark on Mumbai, Raut had apparently asked her to not come to Mumbai if she feels unsafe. However challenging him, Kangana said that she will visit Mumbai come what may. She was even provided with Y level security by the centre. While she was still on her way to Mumbai, BMC had partially demolished her Pali Hill office citing illegal construction.

The war between Kangana and Shiv Sena has escalated with the actress openly slamming Maharastra CM Uddhav Thackeray. Following which a police complaint has also been filed against the ‘Panga’ actress for using derogatory terms for the CM. The National Award-winning actress will be meeting Maharashtra Governor BS Koshyari today.
