After creating a national rave, Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Sanju’ is creating a ramble internationally as well. At the recent Indian Film Festival in Melbourne, ‘Sanju’ bagged four awards.
Director Rajkumar Hirani won two awards, one for Best Film and another for the Best Director. Whereas Vicky Kausal, who plays the role of Sanjay Dutt’s friend on screen, bagged the award for the Best Supporting Actor, and Ranbir Kapoor got a special mention for his intriguing role.
The international jury of this prestigious award comprised of – Mitu Bhowmick Lange, Simi Garewal, Sue Maslin, Jill Bilcock, Nikkhil Advani and Geoffrey Wright.
After receiving allocates from all over the world, ‘Sanju’ has become the biggest hit of 2018, crossing 300 Crores in box office collections that too in just 16 days, making the highest grosser in 2018 so far.
The movie not only garnered commercial success but also won the hearts of the audience and critics. With the power-packed performances, the intriguing story line and hit chartbusters, ‘Sanju’ has become the most loved and talked about film of 2018 so far.
Written and directed by Hirani the film also featured Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Vicky Kaushal, Sonam Kapoor and Dia Mirza amongst others. Produced by Vinod Chopra Films and Rajkumar Hirani Films in association with Fox Star Studios, the film released on 29th June 2018.
