Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh roped in for Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur

Vicky Kaushal is back in action, the actor has given an update on his upcoming release Sam Bahadur. It is a biopic on the life and times of Sam Manekshaw, one of India’s greatest war heroes. The update coincides with the birthday of director Meghana Gulzar. Vicky has been joined by Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh for the Meghana Gulzar directorial.

Vicky took to Instagram and shared a picture of himself with Meghana Gulzar, Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh wrote,” It’s a very special day for us as we celebrate our director @meghnagulzar’s birthday and welcome the leading ladies @sanyamalhotra_ as Silloo Manekshaw & @fatimasanashaikh as Smt. Indira Gandhi to the #Samबहादुर family!”

Sam Bahadur has Vicky Kaushal playing the role of the legendary Field Marshal Sam Maneckshaw. Sanya Malhotra will play his wife, Silloo – Manekshaw’s pillar and strength. Fatima Sana Shaikh steps into the shoes of Indira Gandhi, the country’s first female Prime Minister.

SamBahadur is based on the life and times of the valiant Sam Manekshaw, one of India’s greatest war heroes. Manekshaw’s military career spanned four decades and five wars. He was the first Indian Army officer to be promoted to the rank of Field Marshal and the decisive victory of the Indian Army in the 1971 Indo-Pak war was under his command as Chief of Army Staff. Interestingly, this year also commemorates 50 years of the 1971 war.

Produced by Ronnie Screwvala and directed by Meghna Gulzar, the film stars Vicky Kaushal in and as ‘SamBahadur’ along with Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
