Watch: Sanya Malhotra shares her awkward first meeting with Vishal Bhardwaj

Bollywood actress Sanya Malhotra is slowly but steadily rising through the ranks and is making a mark for herself in the industry. The actress gained traction for playing the role of wrestler Babita Kumari in Aamir Khan’s highly successful ‘Dangal’. Sanya, in an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, talked about her upcoming film ‘Photograph’ and Vishal Bhardwaj.

Sanya Malhotra was asked about her first meeting with director Vishal Bhardwaj and Sanya said, “I am a very cool and calm character. When I first met him (Vishal), he had a huge doubt on his face and I can clearly make out. How would a girl like me pull off a character of a feisty girl in ‘Pataakha‘. I am very glad that the audition happened and I had to prove myself that I can play such a different character so opposed to my image. When I grabbed the opportunity, I wanted to prove myself to Vishal sir.”

‘Pataakha’ might have done below par business at the box-office, but it showed a different side of Sanya Malhotra to the audiences. Sanya has just started her career and is looking for dynamic and challenging roles.
