Pagglait Trailer: Young widow Sanya Malhotra ‘frees her crazy’ and finds her true self in this comedy-drama

Sanya Malhotra made her Bollywood debut with Dangal and in her very first film, she showcased her acting prowess. Later on, with the kind of scripts she chose, Sanya proved that she is one of the most talented actresses of her generation. After Ludo, Sanya will be next seen in the comedy-drama Pagglait. Directed by Umesh Bist, Pagglait boasts of a terrific ensemble cast. The makers of the film dropped its trailer today and we must say it’s hilarious and sad in equal parts.

In Pagglait, Sanya plays Sandhya whose husband dies just five months after their marriage. While everyone expects her to grieve and wail, but contrary to everyone’s assumption, Sandhya frees her crazy and eventually finds herself. There’s one dialogue of Sanya in the trailer that stays with you, “Jab ladki log ko akal aati hai na toh sab unhe pagglait hi kehte hain.” This forms the crux of this comedy-drama.

The twist in the plot arrives when Sandhya’s in-laws learn that their son had Rs 50 lakhs insurance policy with Sandhya being the sole nominee. Will Sandhya remarry? What will she do with the money? Now in order to find the answers to these questions, we will have to watch the film.
